POND DREDGING & SLUDGE REMOVAL.

We perform pond dredging using our high-capacity dredges to complete sludge removal from wastewater treatment ponds.

When undertaking pond dredging, we have the capability of pumping the sludge up to 1 kilometre, meaning our equipment is suitable for sludge removal from all sizes of wastewater treatment pond.

Multiple options are available for dewatering the sludge on-site during the pond dredging process, including fully contained systems that allow the dewatered sludge to be immediately transported off site, or stationary geotubes that accommodate high volumes of sludge.

BENEFITS.

Highly efficient one touch process, with no downtime of the infrastructure.

No requirement to double handle waste for disposal at a later stage.

A small working footprint for sites with restricted space.

Fully sealed system right throughout extraction, dewatering and cartage, meaning it is mess free and no odour is released.

Modular and scalable to maintain productivity on all sizes of ponds

SLUDGE SURVEYS.

Sludge surveys are the recognised way of establishing volumes, depth, density and spread of sludge within a pond.

Once we have gathered the readings and data on site, we will provide you with a comprehensive and detailed report that will allow you to make informed decisions on sludge removal and budgeting for your pond maintenance.

We can also provide you with laboratory analysis of the sludge, which will identify and contamination concerns, and allow us to provide you with appropriate treatment options.

NITROGEN REMOVAL.

Treated wastewater typically undergoes a nitrification and denitrification process as part of its treatment at wastewater treatment plants to remove ammonia nitrogen and ammonium from the wastewater effluent.

However, during times of seasonal peak loads this treatment process can cannot always sufficiently slowed to allow the time required for the successful removal of nitrogen from water, resulting in the treated effluent potentially exceeding its allowed nitrogen limit.

We have treatments available for nitrogen removal from effluent and achieving discharge consent compliance in these situations.

WAS COLLECTION.

Our ability to dewater on-site greatly reduces the cartage involved in removing Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) from satellite MBR & SBR plants. The high volume we can process in one visit allows these plants sludge levels to be maintained for optimum operating performance of the plant.

SEPTIC TANK CLEANING.

Our ability to remove all contents of the septic tank, then return the filtered water means the bacteria that promote healthy waste digestion are retained for the ongoing effective operation of the septic tank.

DAF REMOVAL.

In situations where Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) has a significant liquid content, we can provide routine dewatering, collection, and cartage services that allow for the efficient removal of the remaining sludge.

DIGESTER CLEANING.

We are fully equipped for the removal of sludge from digestors at Wastewater Treatments Plants, including confined space permitting and safety controls, and the right vacuum equipment to get the job done efficiently and minimise downtime of the digester.

HYDROGEN SULPHIDE REMOVAL.

We supply and safely apply scavenger products to strip hydrogen sulphide from ponds and lakes.
